Animal Chiropractic

Did you know that your furry companions need Chiropractic care too? Whether for maintenance care, or for correctional ailments, animals need adjustments too. Dr. Holzworth works on animals of all shapes, species and sizes, including dogs, cats, horses and pocket pets.

California Code of Regulations as defined by title 16, section 2038, in synopsis states that veterinary referral and direct oversight is needed for care of these animals by a certified animal Chiropractor. For questions about getting veterinary referral to get your animal into Dr. Holzworth feel free to call, text or email our office and we would be more than happy to guide you through the process. Before bringing your animal in to Holzworth Chiropractic a veterinary referral form must be signed and brought in along with your recent medical records from your veterinarian. See the attached Veterinary referral form on this pages documents section.

What to expect at your visit:

1. Dr. Holzworth will go over your vet records prior to your visit to her office. She will speak directly to your veterinarian to clarify any questions or concerns she may have about treating your animal as well.

2. A thorough exam with intake form will start off your visit in the office. During this exam you can expect questions about lifestyle, recent injuries, surgeries or other health conditions to be asked.

3. A physical exam, including palpation, range of motion, brief examination of pertinent neurology, as well as spinal exam testing for motion and pain will be performed.

4. At the end of this exam Dr. Holzworth will design a treatment plan which can include; adjustments, Class IIIb laser therapy, Bemer™ electromagnetic therapy, nutritional, lifestyle adaptations and exercise counseling.

5. Following your visit, you should expect the notes from that days visit to be shared with both yourself as an owner as well as your veterinarian to add to your pets records. If you wish to get a hard copy of these notes please send an email to the office so we can have them printed and ready for you to pick up.
