Whether it is alleviating pain, improving the quality of sleep, or clarity of mind, Dr. Holzworth can help. Using manipulative, manual therapies, and approved physiotherapies, Dr. Holzworth taps into the natural ability of the body to heal itself. With a knowledge of nutrition, postural, and motion techniques, Dr. Holzworth will develop an individualized plan for an individualized you.

When she is not in the office, you can find Dr. Holzworth out at a barn, on the spartan course, or competing with Dr. Tom in team Deka events. Animals are Dr. Holzworth’s first love and she and Dr. Tom share 5 together in their household; 2 dogs, Nova and Kane, 2 cats, Penelope and Mackenzie, and 1 Red Argentinian Tegu, named Lizzo. One interesting fact about Dr. Holzworth that you would never know is that she was the first class in the Bay Area to pilot the Mandarin Immersion program now called CLIP. Although she was a part of the program from a very young age, she remembers very little Mandarin sadly. Another fun fact about Dr. Holzworth is that she played competitive soccer and field hockey and went on to play Field Hockey in college at the Division one level. Although she was once an athlete, she will be the first to tell you that she now enjoys watching elite athletes rather than being one herself. If you want to see Dr. Holzworth’s soft side ask her about any of her animals that she has or works on.

Dr. Tom Plese, DC

Chiropractor

Dr. Tom Plese, DC is a Chiropractor and Extracorporeal Shockwave specialist at Holzworth Chiropractic in Campbell, CA. Dr. Tom is from Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada. He moved to San Jose, where he graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic, and he did his preceptorship training at the California Spine and Rehab Center in Pleasanton, CA. He holds advanced certifications in Active Release Technique and Functional Movement Techniques.

Dr. Tom’s clinical work focuses on restoring the quality of life to his patients struggling with chronic injuries through evidence based practices and procedures. Chiropractic care saved Dr. Tom from needing an invasive leg surgery at a very young age, and he has been fascinated with the profession ever since. Dr. Tom loves being a Chiropractor because he gets to facilitate his patients’ recovery through active and non-invasive techniques, as well as provide his patients with actionable knowledge so that they can become the authors of their healthy lifestyles.

Dr. Tom understands that making changes in your lifestyle is really hard, especially at first; but with a little consistency and planning, lasting improvements are absolutely attainable for everyone. He loves watching his patients transform themselves and become examples of healthy living for their friends and families.

You may not know by looking at him, but Dr. Tom is a huge Star Wars fan. Next time you run into him, you should ask him about his lightsabers.

When Dr. Tom isn’t busy treating patients, or pretending to live in a galaxy far far away, you are likely to find him training for the next Spartan Race (with his newest batch of recruits), or participating in team Deka events with his wife Dr. Maddi.

If you ever want to see his soft side, just ask him about his pet cat Penelope or any of his furry animals at home.
